Flying into Reno or Sacramento and not sure if you should go take some afternoon turns? Well here’s a good incentive.

Alpine Meadows Ski Resort is offering a free lift ticket for guests who fly on the same day. Guests can hop an morning flight and show their same-day commercial airline boarding pass with a matching photo ID to the Alpine Meadows’ Season Passes & Tickets office to receive a complimentary lift ticket.

The lift ticket is good for skiing or snowboarding the rest of the afternoon at Alpine and night skiing at Squaw Valley (for the duration of night operations).

The complimentary lift ticket is good 1-9 p.m on Fridays and Saturdays and 1-7 p.m Sundays through Thursdays.

To claim a ticket, you must have proof of same-day travel to the Special Tickets Office, and only one ticket per proof of travel. You can show your boarding pass, printed itinerary or baggage claim check. The document must show the day’s travel date, flight number and traveler’s full name.

Although Reno/Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is the closest to the resorts, any commercial airport can qualify for the deal.

The offer is valid throughout the 2011/2012 winter season, and there are no black out dates.
