Wyoming’s Grand Targhee Resort has been piling up the snow this season. Due to its boon, the resort opted to extend its Storm Chasers lodging deal for those who want to ski powder. But the online lodging deal is only available through mid-February.

By the end of January, Grand Targhee accumulated more than 17 feet of snowfall for the season, creating a base of more than six feet. The storm track in early 2012 seemed to funnel right over the resort, boosting its snow pack and delivering frequent powder days.

The resort is extending its Storm Chaser deal for skiers and riders. The deal is available for online bookings through Feb. 14, 2012. Room rates for a minimum of two nights in slopeside accommodations start at $82 per night. Vacation rental properties in Driggs, Idaho start at $112 per night with a minimum of three nights. Lift tickets are not included, but you can add them on to the package.

Skiers and riders lodging at Targhee can get a discount on the Early Tracks program, too. You can hop on the lifts at 8 a.m. for a tour with ski and snowboard school instructors before the lifts open to the public. The 90-minute Early Tracks program costs $69 per person, but is discounted to $49 per person for lodging guests. Reservations, which are required, can be made by calling 307-353-2300, extension 1352.

Grand Targhee also has other lodging specials available. For more information, look here.
