Summit at Snoqualmie plans to host their third annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Benefit Jan. 23-24. The weekend event offers several ways to contribute to the fundraising, including a raffle that gives away a 2011 season pass.

The annual Slopes for Hope event  aims to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The fundraising event offers several ways for participants to contribute to the cause and gain education, too.

Participants can add $1 or $5 onto any purchase over the weekend to add to the fundraiser. Donations may be added at ticket windows, rental shops, retail shops, restaurants, and bars. Donations also can be made with lesson purchases and at the guest services desks. The donations go directly to the society.

Ribbons are also available for purchase for $5. Each person who buys a ribbon gets to enter the raffle to win a 2011 Big S Unlimited Season Pass.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society also will staff educational booths at Summit Central, Summit West, and Alpental throughout the weekend event. The society, which funds bloods cancer research, education, and patient services, is in search of a cure of leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma. The society has funded over $680 million in research in the past 50 years.
