Get ready for some late night fun at Perfect North Slopes in January, if you're a college or high school student living in the southeastern Indiana, Cincinnati or Lexington areas, and love to ski or ride.
They are hosting a College Late Night Special Jan. 8-9 and a High School Late Night Special Jan. 22-23, Friday and Saturday nights, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Respective students for the selected nights must present a current college or high school ID at the lift ticket window to receive the Late Night Special. Lift tickets are $25 each, or you can include ski and snowboard rental with the lift ticket for $40. Tubing tickets, with the proper ID, will be $25.
Perfect North, which spreads along a ridge overlooking an ancient glacial river valley near Lawrenceburg, Ind., offers five chairlifts, over 20 runs, and one of the largest tubing parks in the region. The runs tumble off two peaks and, with a 400-foot vertical drop, feature a nice collection of black and blue cruisers. It skis and rides more like an upper Midwest area than what you would typically expect to find in the lower Heartland. It draws snowsports lovers from the Hoosier State, Ohio, Kentucky, and even Tennessee.
