Blue Mountain is offering some attractive lift and lodging packages aimed at keeping you at Ontario's largest snowsports resort a little longer this season.
The package is called I Love Winter, and it's a simple concept. Stay longer and save on lift tickets and lodging. Stay two consecutive nights and receive 25 percent off both your room rate and lift tickets on the second night and second day. Stay three consecutive nights and receive 40 percent off your third night's lodging and lift tickets. You also will be eligible for discounts on equipment rentals and ski and snowboard lessons. It pays to love winter and spend a little extra time on the slopes.
Blue, located along the southern shore of Lake Huron's Georgian Bay, stretches for a couple miles along the Niagara Escarpment offering panoramic views of the bay and historic community of Collingwood, Ontario. Its 720-foot vertical drop (that's 220 meters as they measure north of the border) is one of the largest in the eastern Great Lakes.
They've been towing skiers up the escarpment since 1941, almost as long as any other ski area in the Heartland. There's an Intrawest village, 36 trails ranging from beginner to double black diamond, two terrain parks, a super pipe, and 14 lifts, including four high-speed express chairs. It's one of the largest snowsports resorts in the Great Lakes Region, which attracts snowsports enthusiasts from Ontario, Michigan and Ohio.
