Southern Arizona's Sunrise Park Resort is once again running its annual Women’s Seminar Jan. 28-29 to give women a chance to improve their skiing and snowboarding skills in a female-only environment.
Taught by female instructions, small groups will get five hours of lessons each day, plus a stretching session, a complimentary gift package and brunch. The package costs $201 with a lift ticket, or $129 without the purchase of tickets (for season pass holders and those with vouchers through lodging packages).
No pre-registration is required. Women need only show up at the Sunrise Ski and Snowboard School counter at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28. Look for the “Women’s Seminar” line. An application can be found to fill out prior to registration by clicking here.
Each participant can specify what skills she wants to work on, such as riding improvement, bumps, race course or powder/crud. The seminar accommodates all skill levels, including never-evers.
Each person will be responsible for paying for lunch on the mountain, and the groups will not return to the base lodge until the end of the day.
