At Arizona Snowbowl, the management wants to entice folks to take a day off during the week and hit the slopes. To make that easier to rationalize (and convince the boss), the Flagstaff-area resort once again will run Women’s Wednesdays and Boomer Thursdays.
On each Wednesday for the rest of the season, women of all skill levels get a two-hour group lesson with other women and an instructor – plus an all-day lift ticket – for $75. A learn-to-ski/snowboard package, including equipment, runs $79, and a Ski or Snowboard Better package, also with equipment rental, goes for $89.
These specialty clinics begin at 10 a.m. and include lunch. Season passholders get into the program for $19. A regular day ticket at Arizona Snowbowl costs $53.
The deal for Boomer Thursdays gets even sweeter. For $29, skiers or riders 50 and older get an all-day ticket and an instruction clinic that begins at 1 p.m.
Other discounts at the northern Arizona resort in the San Francisco Mountains include free midweek second-day rentals Sunday through Thursday during non-holiday period with a prepaid full-price all day lift ticket. Military personnel with a valid identification card get a $40 lift ticket on weekdays, and everyone gets a free ticket on their birthday.
