Make A Hero organization is raising funds to support adaptive sports. Skiers and snowboarders can get a discount lift ticket to Mt. Hood Meadows while contributing to the organization.

The discounted lift ticket for Mt. Hood Meadows costs $55. Regular lift ticket rates run $74-79. A portion of the discounted lift ticket goes to support local groups that aid individuals with adaptive skiing.

The lift ticket is valid for full-day use Mondays through Thursdays. On Wednesdays and Thursday, the ticket is valid until 9 p.m. The ticket is not valid on Jan. 16 or Feb. 20.

Allow at least 48 hours for processing to get the discounted lift ticket set up. Purchasers of the ticket will get a voucher number in a confirmation email. That voucher number must be redeemed at the ski area’s ticket window to receive the actual lift ticket. A valid ID must also be shown at the ticket window as the vouchers are not transferable.

The discounted tickets went on sale Dec. 2. They are on sale for 99 days, through early March.

Make A Hero, a non-profit organization, aims to help local adaptive sports organizations financially and assist skiers or snowboarders who have suffered debilitating injuries to get back on the slopes or first timers experience the thrill of adaptive skiing. Donations go towards enabling skiers to attend adaptive camps and lessons.
