Now that the New Year has arrived, it's time to start on those fitness resolutions. Being in shape for the season helps you get the most out an expensive day on the slopes. If you're having trouble getting into a routine or even knowing what kind of workout will help your skiing or riding, then grab a friend and head to Boston Common on Jan. 21 for the Ski and Snowboard Bootcamp Clinic.
WHEN: Saturday, January 21, 9:00-10:15 a.m.
WHERE: Boston Common -- Meet at the corner of Beacon St. and Charles St. across from Starbucks, inside the park's gates.
WHAT: Get a great workout while the motivating Ultimate Bootcamp Trainers show you how to get your body in shape for the 2012 season. The Ski & Snowboard Bootcamp Clinic will include:
- Review of which muscles are important for skiers and riders
- A dynamic warmup that you can do before hitting the slopes
- Complete ski and board workout focusing on lower body strength and core stability
- A cool down geared towards helping increase flexibility and reduce injuries
WHO: All levels of skiers and riders are invited.
