The French resort of Montgenèvre has made improvements both on and off the slopes this year. The resort makes up part of the 400-kilometre Milky Way ski area on the France-Italy border. 

Improvements to the ski area

A new four-seater chairlift, "Le Montquitane" replaces the old two-seater.

The creation of a new blue ski run, equipped with artificial snow making facilities.

The opening of a new drag lift to create ski in ski out facilities for the Hameau de l'Obélisque.

The new Anova Hotel

Anova Hotel is complete with a spa, bar, conference rooms, restaurant and 40 ensuite bedrooms ranging from 20-65m square metres.

New snow garden

Situated in the Chalvet sector, children can learn to ski in peaceful conditions in this sunny, south facing area, which is run by ESF.

New daily shuttle bus service

Leaving Briançon every hour, this new bus service runs through La Clarée and arrives at the station in Montgenèvre.

Resort membership card for kids

The Sweety card is available for children up to the age of 14. Members benefit from a number of advantages within the resort.

Montgenèvre is the only French ski resort in the Milky Way, which is also made up of the Italian ski reosrts: Clavière, Cesana, Sestière, Sansicario and Sauze d'Oulx.
