Night of Lights is an event at Mammoth Mountain that you don’t want to miss.
Not too many resorts would think to put on an entire firework show, torchlight parade and live music with the mountain as the backdrop to celebrate the holiday season, but that’s what separates Mammoth from other resorts.
This years Night of Lights event will take place at Canyon Lodge on Saturday, Dec. 17.
The Village Gondola will be giving complimentary rides to Canyon Lodge, where all ages are welcome to join the celebration. The show can be viewed from the snow for free, or guests can purchase tickets to one of the VIP viewing areas. They are offering rooftop viewing area at $35 for adults, $20 for kids 7-12, or watch from the Club Room inside the Cloverleaf Room (third-floor in Canyon Lodge), which includes light appetizers and access to a cash bar for $55 adults and $35 kids 7-12. Kids 6 and under are free with a paid adult.
After the spectacular firework and light show, guests can stick around for an on-snow concert by The Naked and Famous, which is a New Zealand Indie Rock Band who sounds like a blend of MGMT and Passion Pit. There will be a cash bar available, which will be open from 8 p.m till late.
