Boreal Mountain Resort offers several different ways to make skiing and snowboarding more affordable.

This season, Boreal is offering a deal: buy two adult or teen lift tickets, get the third ticket free. You can sign up for a iRIDE Reward Card on their website. The Card is free, and there are no blackout dates. Anyone can sign up for an iRIDE Card.

The tickets must be teen or adult, all-day lift tickets, purchased within the 2011/2012 season. The free ticket will be valid during the same season. The days don’t need to be consecutive. Only one adult or teen lift ticket per iRIDE cardholder can be purchased per day and it is not valid with any other discounts. After signing up for the iRIDE Card, you will receive an email with a redemption code or you can opt to have the code texted to a mobile phone.

Boreal’s 1-2-3 Ride Free program gives beginner skiers and snowboarders a free seasons pass for the remainder of the season after taking three ski school lessons. The first lesson is $70, and the second and third lessons are $30 each. During the holidays, the rates are $80 and $40. The cost includes lift tickets, lesson and rentals.

Frickin’ Fridays at Boreal allow college students and active duty military to purchase $15 lift tickets. The tickets are good from 9am to 9pm. You must show a valid student ID or active military ID. Frickin’ Fridays are not offered during certain holidays, such as Dec. 23 and Dec. 30.
