Chestnut Mountain Resort kicks off the season Friday, Dec. 2, with early season stay packages and lift ticket specials.

 

Early season lodging rates, available through Dec. 15, are $89 midweek and $109 weekends, per night, based on double occupancy.  Lift tickets through that date are $15.

 

Holiday lift and lodging packages, available Dec. 24-29, include two nights' lodging, two breakfasts, two lunches, one dinner, lift tickets, and a group lesson.  The first two people pay $399 each and then it's $249 for each additional person over the age of 6; children under 6 go free.

 

The New Year’s Package, available Dec. 30-Jan. 1, includes two nights' lodging, breakfasts, lunches, one dinner, lift tickets and a lesson.  The first two people pay $449 each and then it's $249 for each additional person over the age of 6. Follow this link for all lodging packages.

 

There will be live entertainment in the Three Gables Lounge over the New Year weekend.

 

The resort’s 450-room hotel overlooks the Mississippi River and ski area.  Chestnut has been named among the top 10 Midwest ski resorts on more than one occasion in national snowsports magazine reader polls. It's considered one of the top areas for Heartland twin-tippers and riders with its seven-acre Farside Terrain Park and huge rail garden positioned on top of the bluff near the hotel.

 

Chestnut Mountain is located near Galena, about three hours northwest of Chicago.
