Blue Mountain, Ontario's largest ski resort, is slated to open for the season Dec. 10 and is offering a $39 CA ($37.58 US) daily lift ticket through Dec. 14. Regular season daily lift rates will be $59 CA ($56.85 US), and a day/night combo ticket, good 9 a.m.-10 p.m., will be $69 CA ($66.48 US) this season.

If they are able to open earlier offering limited skiing and riding, lift tickets will be $19 CA ($18.31 US) through Dec. 9. There's also still time to take advantage of the resort's Night Value Pass, priced at $149 CA ($143.56 US), and the Double Down card, now $89 CA ($85.75 US), through Dec. 15. Neither will be available after that date.

The Night Value Pass is valid for 56 nights of skiing and riding. The night season starts Dec. 15 and runs through March 18, 2012. It excludes the holiday season, Dec. 23, 2011 through Jan. 7, 2012.

The Double Down card entitles you to two day/night lift tickets anytime during the season. There's a limit of two Double Down passes per customer and quantities are limited.

Blue is offering an early season getaway Dec. 16 through Dec. 22 with lodging in the Blue Mountain Inn. Reserve early and receive 20-percent off your accommodations. The offer includes daily breakfast. Click here for more information.

The resort has an Intrawest village, 36 trails ranging from beginner to double black diamond, two terrain parks, a super pipe, and 14 lifts, including four high-speed express chairs. It's arguably one of the best snowsports resorts in the Great Lakes Region and attracts skiers and riders from Ontario, Michigan, Ohio and eastern New York.
