Thanks to an early season storm and a cold front that allowed for plenty of snow making, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit will officially open this week. Multiple runs and plenty of terrain park features will be available for early season rates to all the eager riders who want to get the 2011/2012 ski season started.
Bear Mountain Resort will open on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 8:30 a.m. They've been working around the clock to ensure a solid base and quality snow for opening day. Chair 9 will be running with access to Park Run, which will be stacked from top-to-bottom with terrain park features thanks to park crews working throughout the night.
Snow Summit will follow suit by opening on Thursday, Nov. 10, and guests can put their dual mountain lift ticket to use by riding both mountains. Snow Summit will have Chair 1, which will access Miracle Mile from top-to-bottom and Chair 8 for beginners, which will access Bear Bottom.
