Waterville Valley reports spending more than $525,000 to add 20 tower guns and increase snowmaking capacity to blow more snow onto trails early in the season. The resort has put a new winch cat into service which the area says will be especially useful on its steep Sunnyside trails, such as True Grit and the headwall leading to Ciao and Gema. The area has revamped Street Hubba in Exhibition Park with new stairs, rails, and boxes. Luke Mathison, former pro rider and Waterville's new terrain park manager, designed the features. Waterville Valley also has replaced 75 percent of its rental equipment and updated all service areas for faster and more efficient tech work at Top Dog Ski and Snowboard Rentals.
