Disabled Skiers Benefit At Alpine Meadows

Disabled Sports USA Far West, whose goal is to facilitate physical and psychological rehabilitation through education, recreation, sports, and social activities, is conducting a fundraiser Feb. 8 at Alpine Meadows, the group's winter sports headquarters. The second annual Ski Challenge will begin with a team race, continue with a poker run, and end with an après party. Teams will consist of four participants with a fifth member being disabled. Teams are open to corporations, ski clubs, and friends skiing together. Entry is $200 per person and teams are $800. Call 530-581-4161 for more information.
