More than 2000 entries were submitted during the three month contest. According to Bill Swain, Sugarloaf's communications manager, the name The Yard "stays true to Sugarloaf's heritage of naming trails after logging terms and was the favorite among the judges." When completed The Yard will have several sets of jumps and as many as a dozen other features including rails, boxes and other jibs.
