Good article! As far as a balaclava, I might add that there are many styles available, and the ability to breath without fogging your goggles (or your glasses inside of your goggles) is important. Try several types to find the one that will work for you. Also, be careful when doing a "quick tune." If you damage the edges of your skis, you may create the need for expensive repairs. In addition, I feel a ski security device is unnecessary . Simply separate your skis by placing them in different racks. The security people at my mountain say that most thefts are of the "grab and go" variety, and most thieves won't take the time to look for the match to a separated pair of skis. As far as a snowboard goes, though, maybe a security device would be needed.
