Protect Your Noggin'

You've got to protect your head whether you're a skier or snowboarder. Hawksnest Ski Mountain is giving away helmets to help promote the idea of safety. The first 100 students, kindergarten through 12th grade who purchase a night lift ticket Feb. 1, will receive a new helmet, rental, and lessons. The Family Snow Sport Safety Event aims to teach winter sports' "Responsibility Code." "We want to impress upon all our guests that the most fun on the slopes, begins with safety first," says Hawksnest's Lenny Cottom.
