What happens when you sit down to dinner on your birthday and a friend whispers to the waiter that it's your birthday? You get a free dessert from singing waiters. Well, at Solitude, you won't get a bunch of hosts singing "Happy Birthday," but you will get one heck of a treat.

Solitude Ski Resort is putting the icing on your cake with a special lift ticket on your birthday. Just hit the ticket window on your special day, show them your ID, and get a half price lift ticket. If you happen to have been born in the winter or spring, take advantage of this special offer; no other resort in Utah does it. Birthday girls and boys will be able to get a lift ticket for $30.50 through April

You can Nordic ski at Solitude's Nordic Center for even less than a half-priced lift ticket. The April 4^th Spring Fling is the perfect excuse to give it a try. The 4x4k Relay - 2 classic legs followed by 2 free legs begins at 10 a.m. followed by a BBQ and live music. Call 801-536-5774 to sign your team up. Pre-registration entry fee is $10/person. $15 day of the race. The 1k Spring fun race at 1 p.m. is free.
