Revelstoke Launches New Spring Break Programs For Kids, Teens

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is readying for spring break visitors with new programs for vacationing kids and teens. The five-day programs, which include lunches, take care of the kids while parents ski on their own.

The spring break programs for kids separate children ages 6-9 into one group and kids 10-13 into another. The program is available for skiers or riders, but kids must be  at least comfortable at ability Level 3-green run skiers ready to move to blue runs-to participate. Children are with their instructor and group for lunch, too. The children's spring break program costs $188 CAN.

The new Freeriding is Not a Crime program targets teens ages 14-17. The program, intended to improve all-mountain freeriding skills, requires skiers and riders to be comfortable on black diamonds for participation. Pros take the teens off-piste into the trees and teach them how to evaluate the terrain. They may even drop cliffs. The Freeriding is Not a Crime program costs $228 CAN.

Classes, which have limited spaces available, meet 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and eat lunch with their group. The two spring break programs are offered March 8-12, 15-19, or March 29-April 2.
