Travel News: Southwest Airlines Offers Double Points For Travelers To Denver Through Dec. 15

Fly into Denver anytime through Dec. 15 on Southwest Airlines and receive double credit to your Rapid Rewards member account. That means members earn a free flight after buying four roundtrip tickets to or from the Mile High City.

Southwest is offering this promotion in connection with its Southwest Porch at Skyline Park, which features Neapolitan-style pizza from Brava! Pizzeria Della Strada and drinks from Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret.

The "Porch" is located the base of the historic Daniels and Fisher Clocktower at the intersection of 16^th Street and Arapahoe in downtown Denver. It will offer food and beverage service, throughout the year, Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and for special events.

Heaters will be added in the cooler months for visitors to enjoy pizza and warm beverages.

The airline currently operates 144 nonstop flights daily to 42 destinations from Denver. Denver is Southwest's fastest growing market.

American Airlines has announced a Mobile Million sweepstakes through Oct. 15 to highlight the company's new iPhone app which is designed to make it easier for customers to stay in touch with the airline.

The grand-prize winner will receive 1 million American Airlines AAdvantage miles and 30 other winners will each get a $400 Apple gift card. Install and launch the free app (or update and launch the app if you already have it) and then enter your information in the pop-up window to enter.

You can obtain a second sweepstakes chance by forwarding information about the promotion to others via the "tell-a-friend" form.

Non-iPhone users can register for the sweepstakes by watching a promotional video about the app and then filling out an alternate registry form online.

Registrants can receive up to two possible entries for the grand prize and first prize.

Only United States, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico residents are eligible to enter.
