The struggling economy combined with consumer demand to secure great value for every retail dollar spent is expected to attract more than 30,000 people to this year's 18th Annual Colorado Ski and Snowboard Expo.

Scheduled for Nov. 13 to 15, 2009, this year's event at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver will retain its distinctive position as the single largest ski and snowboard sale within the single biggest temporary ski shop in Colorado.

Shoppers can browse through more than 20,000 square feet of inventory with discounts that are predicted to be deeper than last season's snowfall.

Expo visitors should keep their eyes out for lift ticket giveaways from many of the dozens of ski resort exhibitors, whose reps will be kept busy talking about what's new for the upcoming season and showcase their most popular programs.

Each Expo has its own special attractions and Denver's claim to fame is always the zany entertainment and unpredictable antics that have become the hallmarks of the Grand Central Entertainment Center.

This center stage features the popular and amped-up energy of emcee Uncle "E."  This center stage includes outrageous contests and performances that are designed by ski area employees from various resorts.

New this year is the Elite Training Center where older kids can get a fun dose of training by challenging themselves on a specially designed training apparatus under the guidance of former Olympic downhiller Doug Lewis.

The aim, according to Lewis, is to build better awareness of the value of physical fitness, nutrition, and sports psychology for all athletes of all ages and abilities.

Another feature aimed at families is the Salute to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, later this season in Western Canada.

While America's hopes for gold in Canada will be hard at work training, an Olympic great from the past, mogul gold medalist Donna Weinbrecht, will talk to guests at the Denver Expo.

Two other American Olympic stars, aeralists Trace Worthington and Fuzz Feddersen, who will put on an indoor aerial display that's always a crowd pleaser.

Just wanted to comment that your webite says that if you purchase tickets in advance through OnThe Snow.com the ticket would be $9. So when I went through the website to purchase the tickets it charged me $10 each. There was no such place to buy the ticket for $9. I could have purchased the tickets for $10 with a coupon at the door, but I wanted to save time and a few dollars. I am dissappointed that your website reported the $9 purchase price falsly. I
