The British Ski and Board Show Oct. 30 to Nov. 1, 2009 at the NEC Birmingham features everything from freestyle aerial displays to equipment testing, ski lessons, and winter holiday deals.
2008 marked the 20th anniversary of the show and more than 140 exhibitors took part.
One of the highlights of the show is always the spectacular freestyle aerial displays from Olympic and world champions on the 45-degree extreme ramp. The show also incorporates a ski slope where international teams challenge each other in pursuit of the perfect parallel turn.
The ski slope and test center is ideal for skiers and boarders of all levels and abilities wanting to improve their technique. Free lessons are timetabled throughout the day and will cater for everyone from the beginner to advanced levels; equipment is provided free of charge but remember to book in advance.
There are also a number of workshops, specialist talks, exhibitors, and shops. Visitors can try out the latest brands, equipment, and accessories and buy at discounted prices. A range of snacks and beverages are also available in the hall.
Tickets cost £5 on Friday and £11 on Saturday and Sunday. For tickets phone the NEC Box Office on 0844-581-0734
