Parents looking for children's learning programs should consider the Wisp Resort in Western Maryland. The mission of Wisp Kidz focuses on building confidence, teaching a life sport, and getting kids outdoors. Full- day sessions also include a lunch menu that varies between macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, and pizza for its main course.

Cost for the half-day session is $69 midweek and $99 on weekends. Sessions run 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon or 12:30 to 3 p.m. Weekends sessions are available only in the afternoon. A full-day program costs $89 midweek and $119 weekends. Holiday rates are $139. Two-day programs are available for $ 178 midweek, $199 weekends, and $219 holidays.

The Mini Riders and Mountain Rippers programs concentrate on snowboarding.
