Canyons Spring Grüv provides an all-inclusive mountain celebration timed for this unique time of the season. Utah: when winter lingers but spring beckons; when the mountain can get plastered by massive snowfall or basks in 50-degree bluebird days.
The music will play, snow or shine. This year’s line-up includes Little Feat, Martin Sexton, Orgone and John Brown’s Body, each headlining one day. Thousands will be on hand for Canyons’ 17th edition of the pond skimming competition and for the Schlittentag (German for “sledding day”), Canyons style. In the Schlittentag, brave souls pilot their custom-built sleds and other interesting contraptions down the mountainside and over jumps. Many of these sleds disintegrate upon impact with their pilots cartwheeling across the snow. Yes, Spring Grüv will once again be a rip-roaring good time in the Wasatch.
