Registration begins at 9 a.m. Participants need to purchase a lift ticket if the resort is open for skiing and snowboarding. Otherwise, the event is free and is for snowboarders only. It isn't part of the rail jam but the resort's halfpipe was named best in the East by Transworld Snowboarding magazine.
Activities for kids begin at 1 p.m. in the ski lodge. A Winter Kick -Off Party is set for 9 p.m. at the Foggy Goggle with music provided by the Mark Pipas Band.
Previously owned equipment will be sold at the Mon Valley Ski Club swap planned Sunday, Nov. 22 in the lodge's Maple Room. Drop-off time for skis, snowboards, poles, boots, bindings, and clothing is 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The sale runs from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. with pick-up of items not sold at 4 p.m. Anything not picked up will be donated to charity. Non club members are charged a $5 seller's fee. All vendors will be charged a 15 percent commission on items sold.
