Crystal Mountain, one of the Heartland’s premier winter resorts, has its 2012/13 season pass underway with the best prices available through April 17.  Several are less than $250.

The Premier Pass, currently $249, has no blackout dates on skiing and boarding and gives you half-off daily cross-country trail passes.  If crowds aren’t your thing check out My 5/7 Pass, which allows you to ski or ride anytime midweek and Saturday and Sunday nights as well.  It’s now $209 and also gives you half-off cross-country passes.

For those that want to ski or ride just one day a week there’s the Sunday Pass for $129, which gives you access to the slopes every Sunday throughout the season.  If you are 80 or older the Lifetime Pass is just $80 and has no blackout dates.

The ultimate season pass is the Premier Pass +2, which offers several extras.  It’s currently $299, and, in addition to skiing and riding all season long with no blackout dates, offers full access to cross-country trails, two extra lift tickets, two alpine slide tickets, two summer scenic chairlift rides and two summer mountain bike chairlift rides.

Season passes will be going up, in some cases $50, after April 17. Crystal offers 45 slopes with 27 lit for night skiing seven days a week, nine lifts including a high-speed quad and carpet tows for beginners, two terrain parks, and over 40 kilometers of groomed cross-country trails with three lit for night skiing.
