Full review

As the final stop on our 2009 Adirondack Ski Tour, Whiteface Mountain and the Village of Lake Placid ranks #1 in the East for an overall skiing and nightlife experience. Whiteface "The Olympic Mountain" far exceeds its historical past for all skiers. It was like coming to the skiing mecca. As you approach Whiteface, your memories of 1980 Olympics begin to fade in. (for us Babyboomers) You realize that the World best met to race down this awesome mountain. We had to race down the slalom run just to try capture our own Olympic moment. Whiteface's Lookout Mt is very promising as we pasted by the site for numerous future trails. The top of the mountain is strickly for experts only ... no pretenders. The village of Lake Placid provides the nightlife for Whiteface. There were many great places to eat and sight-see. The most stop had to be the Olympic Hockey Arena. Nothing captures like the surprise heroics than the walk into the ice rink and across the street to the speed skating oval. Charlie's will not disappoint for a great dining experience.
