1st off great place to take the kids. Even if they dont like skiing, lake placid is 5 minutes away and there is tons i mean tons more to do. I went in the summer 2 and we went mtn biking shopping waterskiiing hiking and visited all of the exibits on the olympics and that took about a week. in the winter u can go to the GIANT ski jumps and even bobsled which is very fun. Now about the mtn. pretty big and the bottom is easy to med but the top is like WOW very pretty sight and mostly hard trails but about 25% of trails on the top are med-hard and not immpossible. remember this was for the olympics so there are a few hard trails up there so dont ake the little ones up top. For the adventorous there is a road on the backside that u could drive up and the n go down the 91 degree angle glades(not really 91 but STEEP) but mtn is really good
