Visited on Saturday, January 17, 2010. Beautiful day for skiing; weather could not have been better. West had tons of snow (mostly man-made.) Trails were well groomed and some left natural. Staff was very friendy, I had a great conversation with a ski patrol on one ride up. The lifts are old but adequate for the amount of traffic. The lodge was even older with very little to offer. Obviously, they sped their money making snow.
My biggest gripe is the trail marking. Or should I say lack of trail marking. It was almost impossible to figure out where you were most of the time. I went with my sister who hadn't skied in a while and is basically a beginner. She plotted out a course for her to take and found herself WAY over her head when she couldn't find the trail she planned to take.
For a small mountain, the terrain is surprisingly varied and prett tough. There are alot of interesing fall lines. Rates were in line with what they had to offer.
Overall, a good experience. Don't expect to be pampered but the mountain is worth a visit.
