close, inexpensive, not too busy, no lines, friendly staff, good food, family friendly
no trail for beginners off the bunny trail
Straight to the point. Its good and close to the city. Took less than an hour to get there. Holiday rates were not bad. $36 from 12-5pm Sunday. They have a nice small lodge w an attached small bar/restaurant, which had great food. They also have a warming center w arcades and vending machines. Not crowded at all. Staff was very nice. Snow wasnt great, well because its been warm this winter but riding was okay. Only problem is the only trails open was the bunny (too easy) and the tiger trail, which for me was a little too much. Its high and curvy. For intermediate to advanced it would be good for a quick fix. Im a beginner - intermediate snowboarder. Been riding only 4 times and found myself wishing they had something in the middle of these two trails. They also had a racing trail and snow tubing which looked fun. I probably wont go back until I'm able to handle a higher, curvier trail like the one here. All in all great quick trip. Im in Queens so for two hours total travel time to be on the mountain 5 hours is def worth it.
