As a season pass holder at Mt Peter and regular to Camelback, Shawnee, and Mountain Creek, we just wanted to try something new without driving too far. Thunder Ridge's trail map was interesting so we gave it a shot. The conditions there were poor: sparse snow coverage, very icy with bare patches, many trails not opened. This was mid-January mind you, so they could have made snow if the wanted to. I've only seen conditions like this towards the end of the season at other places. We still had fun because of our love of snowsports but won't be returning because of the obvious lack of maintenance of the mountain. The working farm and wandering llamas are something you probably won't see at other mountains.

The terrain parks was set up nicely for beginners but it's all fenced in without much running room. The features were side-by-side so you could only take one at a time.
