Natural snow, no crowds.
Pitiful vertical drop

Full review

I visited Peek'n Peak for the first time yesterday. There were lake effect snow warnings/advisories for the past few days for the area which made for great snow cover. Their web site said 24" of fresh snow and I believe it. I spent the day in powder up to at least my knees. It rocked. I think that they only have 450' of vertical drop though. Therefore, the runs are pretty short and not that steep. The fresh snow made the trip well worth it. If the lake effect going, definitely try to make a trip. I agree with the earlier reviewer; the best runs were the unofficial runs that the locals cut through the trees. Specifically, look for the one on skier's right down the "Sherwood Maple" run in the middle of the mountain.
