Sixteen trails with more on the way doesn't sound like much, but we're snow starved here in New York state and we'll take anything we can get. Whiteface has been taking advantage of high altitudes and cold(ish) nights to make snow whenever possible and, like a few other resorts in the Empire State, has managed to stay open. Full Article

We're riding the pre-holidays roller-coaster. Windham and other ski areas in New York state rocked out at mid-December with a dozen or so trails and a handful of lifts. The cold snapped and fall fell back in at the top of the week, with warmer temps making an unwelcome return. Full Article
