Went to Hunter Mountain last weekend. The conditions were great - the snowstorm added fresh powder to the already groomed trails. There was plenty of side trails that offered nearly private skiing. We stayed at Hunter Mountain Rentals at Hunter Highlands on the mountain and were able to access the beginner slope from the top parking lot - very convenient, clean, and reasonable condo, with spectacular views. You have to know the slopes to enjoy them - get there early, ski the main slopes and afterwards go to the side trails for private skiing - can't complain. Got my money's work skiing all day and relaxing at the condo. Fireworks, band, and rail jam were great too.
