best mountain within 3hrs drive from nyc , especially for expert skiers, i only go skiing when weather is good and conditions are right, snow-making has improved a lot the town itself got a bit of a face-lift , but it also seems much quieter comparing to the good old days. the crowd seems more mature. as far some people complaining about crowds...well ...beginner and intermediate terrain , yes
i agree... but you will never see crowds on West Side, ski it if you can... and if its
open...love that old double chair in the afternoons...we had a fantastic afternoon
a week ago on Anapurna trail ....pure bliss...moguls top to bottom...with 2ft of snow this weekend this trail should stay open late into the season.
