Full review

Due to poor snow this season so far, haven't been there yet this year. Based on past experience-this is THE best mountain within a 2 to 2-1/2 hour drive from NYC. Runs can be challenging and snow conditions are usually as good as any in the geographic area. One of two major beefs with Hunter; 1. when conditions are conducive to making snow, they do, to the detriment of anyone who is on the mountain as the runs remain open and you are forced to ski through the snow guns and 2. NEVER go to Hunter on the weekend if you value your health (and probably your skis as well)-they don't call this mountain "the liquid courage mountain" for nothing. The weekends bring on the crazy, novice, expert wannabes and what gets in thier way is how they stop-including you!
