Full review

While there is no natural snow on the east coast in January 2012, Hunter has blown tons on their mountain. Today was 22deg at the top and after a few warm days, the surface was "eastern hardpack". If you know how to use your edges, the skiing was great. If you're not good using your edges, you may want to wait for more natural snow. Zero lift lines today, friendly staff and a much better ski area during the mid-week. The new lift, the Kaaterskill Flyer is very fast, comfortable and long overdue. Overall, I can't wait to go back to my favorite day trip ski area!
