First thing to keep in mind, this area isn't the rockies or even the appalacians...you have to keep things in perspective. But comparing Holiday Valley to any other resort in Ontario or Western NY, this place is tops in my book.

Most people in the Toronto, ON area think of Blue Mountain as the place to go to. It is, if you like to wait longer in line than it takes to get up and down the mountain!! Blue Mountain may have better night life, but if you include lodging, its a lot more expensive, even with the C$/US$ exchange at US$0.79 !! Holiday Valley has about the same vertical as Blue, but is less crowded on weekends and the town has great nightlife too!

If you are looking to get out, enjoy a great day of skiing/boarding and have fun at night too, this is the place to be.
