This is a great intermediate mountain. This is my second season as a season-pass holder at Greek, as I am a student at Binghamton University, and it really is a great mountain to have nearby. No, it doesn't offer the terrain that southern VT does, or the same vertical, or glades, but it is a very good intermediate mountain, with some challenging slopes as well.

Nighrlife is nonexistent immediately on the mountain, but you can take a 20-25 minute ride into Ithaca and enjoy a great college town with a lot to offer for all ages. Terrain park is decent, not great, glades are limited, but fun, lifts are slow, but crowds are very seldom large. I also hear that they are installing a high speed quad this offseason, so that will reduce the lift issue.

For cheap lodging nearby, check out the Three Bear Lodge/Inn right off exit 9 on I-81. 10 minutes from the mountain, and dirt cheap.

All in all, if you live close to Greek, it's outstanding. If you're driving from NY, go to southern VT instead.
