Just noticed base and trail count dropped. How many trails have dirt showing?

...As if they can control the weather. The forecast for today was dead on. You should have stayed home like I did. Kudos to Gore management. Great job considering lousy snow season.

This post is frivolous considering the forecast tom. But conditions were great in the am. Then the wind blew and exposed ice everywhere. Give them credit on the grooming tho no bumps!

I skied Gore 1/9/14. Conditions were hard packed and icy. Considering the recent 50 degree temps and rain I must say the mountain was better than I expected. If you skied the sunny spots the snow was softer and granular. The shade was mostly ice. The gondola line was pretty busy. Usually had eight people per car. This is certainly due to the triple being down, which I understand will be down for quite a while. Up top much was much less busy. If you stayed out during lunch time you had the place to yourself. This day was an ISkiNY day so the lift ticket was only $12. The conditions were well worth the price. No way would I pay full price under current conditions.
