Gore is a skier's mountain with a locals feel. Friendly laid back atmosphere. Resort is big enough to soak up the crowds on busy days. 2300 feet of vertical. Nice easy runs for new skiers on lower mountain and intense steep runs on the top of the mountain for adventuresome advanced skiers. Great kids programs and family friendly. Good grooming and snow making. They make the best of lean snow years and great conditions in better years. New upgrades this season are great! New Burnt Ridge trails are interesting and fun. The new high speed quad is really nice. Worth the trek across the bottom access trail. Continuing upgrades in the base lodge were nice improvement. Gore's skiing stands up to the upscale resorts. Give it a try.
