Gore's simply rock solid. If you're interested in "getting away" and care less about eating out and going out, it's the best in NY. Save bucks by packing a lunch, stocking a room with your own beers, and focus on burning off your energies on the mountain. Excellent varied terrain, something for everyone, from cruisers to double blacks. The glade system is outstanding, the lifts top notch and the staff always happy. Great location for kids, easy access parking, and flat out good stuff. Close the lift and head for 2 cold ones at the Tannery.
