  Gore has hidden jems

  Pros: trail variety, short lines, in the Adirondack Park

  Cons: on mountain food is so so, slow to open terrain.

  ok conditions but many trails closed

  Pros: ok conditions - groomers made the mosf of what they had

  Cons: Some kind of problem keeping a section closed.

  I skiied Gore on Sun Jan 4. Conditions wer ok by eastern standards. They hadn't had much new snow but did a GREAT job grooming. One big problem - the North Quad... Full review

  Pros: Not too crowded

  Cons: Conditions were very firm and very icy in spots

  Monday was the better day with 1-5 inches of soft snow on top. Tuesday the wind whipped off whatever was left of that and the groomers left things pretty hard almost everywhere... Full review
