This is my “go to” resort. I love the variety of terrain and there’s are slopes for all.
Some of the most varied terrain in the Northeast. Snowmaking capabilities are excellent. Staff are great - so helpful. The price is also one of the best.
There isn’t lodging at the resort. It can be very cold!

Had a fantastic day skiing about 24-30” of powder! Super fun and no lines because so one could get there! I stayed in North Creek so never an issue to get to the mountain on a snow day! The next day was fantastic too although super windy, so not all lifts were open. Every trail and glade had spectacular snow. Bluebird Day! Love skiing Gore
Best kept secret…. Great snow, no lines to speak of, lots of variety and family friendly
Wish there was a hotel ski in ski out, but a few in North Creek and North River just 1-2 miles away

No lines. Empty trails. Great grooming. No frills just ski. Not a great place for first time skiers. Try Whiteface or Bellayre for that.
Great grooming and terrain variety. No lines. Empty slopes.
Not a tremendous snowfall but they do wonders with what they have.
Just got my season pass suspended today to go under the red rope on the rumor for skiing the fresh powder on the first quart of the trail with my son, the second part the other 3/4 was open... No warning, just a angry ski patrol saying hand me your pass don't come back today or we call the cops. Great approach for a dad and his son...
Great terrain when enough snow.
Some ski patrol employees...

Skiied here first time today. Incredibly icy. Green trails have very steep sections. Not comfortable on them at all, especially as the place was a sheet of ice.
Parking close to lodge if you are early. LINES move fast.
Green trails mislabeled. The 2 that I did were incredibly steep. Certainly not green trails.

I live 15 minutes from West Mountain. West Mountain costs less, has better snow making, no ice, no lines, and similar vertical. Gore's vertical is all fake. The vaunted Rumor is about 400 feet. Much of the elevation at the top of the longest runs tracks down the same icy, crowded, single sharp turn and then you begin a 1,000 foot run similar to a West Mountain run but with more crowds and again ice. The rumored miles of runs require pushing yourself and end at lifts that can leave you in isolated parts of the mountain. Just not worth the drive for me despite an ardent local following. I don't get it. The views are great and sure sometimes they get more snow but like any other Northeast Mountain for much of the year they must rely on their snowmaking and their's is not as good as West. Sure West is small, but its a question of value and for me Gore is not worth the drive. If I want to pay more and be in crowds I'd rather get legit vertical at Stratton and even though that is crazy expensive, at least I'll have gotten something for it.

Gore has expanded quite a bit with new lifts and terrain over the years. This mountain is super fun to ski. Trails go in all directions, each trail feels unique. Pretty sick terrain park features, night skiing, Nordic facilities, laid back family vibe. With good snow the glades are super challenging and tight trees. Steep trails, cruisers. Honestly the place is quite amazing. When the mountain is mostly open lift lines are not a big issue. During busy times you might need to avoid the gondola. But there are multiple approaches to the top of the mountain. Giving a 1 star review for this place is absurd, it doesn’t relate to the actual skiing and boarding experience. The vibe is super laid back. Enjoy your time here!
Big mountain feel with unique terrain and lots of snow making capability.
Trails can be challenging for beginnners

I've been leaving messages with Stephanie from tickets for over a week now.Someone very close to me tested covid positive and when I tried to get my tickets refunded they've just ignored me. They warned me on their website to buy my tickets early or else they wouldn't be available because of limited capacity,(even though there's still tickets available just days before) and now they can't respond to the four voicemails I've left or the message the ticket vendor passed on for me. I have half a mind to go anyway and spread whatever virus I may have. It's that or I'm out $600
Terrible customer relations

Been going to Gore for years. They offer a great variety of terrain for all levels of skiers. They do a great job with snowmaking and grooming considering the lack of natural snow the mountain receives. I skied with my kids and continue now with my senior season pass.
Wide variety. Good grooming.
Area lacks natural snowfall.

Gore is a great mountain but I fully agree with the review they have tremendous staffing issues especially in the marketing office.
