For Skiers and boarders from Buffalo and Southern Ontario, Bristol offers the best vertical by far with some really nice long runs that you don't get in other resorts in the same region.( longer and better than Blue Mountain or Holiday) Also they have some very gentle slopes at the top of the hill that is great for teaching newcomers to the sport. The cons are that some lifts are very slow and yet necessary to take to get from one side of the mountain to the other. In addition there are virtually no restaurants or accommodations around the ski area so you really have to stay 20 minutes away in Canandaigua. Canandaigua is primarily a nice summer resort town so things are limited in the winter especially during the week.
