  Still a True Public Ski Area

  Pros: Excelent Intermediate and Novice terrain

  Cons: Totally Inadequate lodge capacity

  The thing that makes Bellayre great is the Tomahawk ski area. This stand alone section of the mountain boasts 13 slopes and trails with a quad lift, parking. and lift ticket sales.... Full review

  Gentle hills in the woods

  Pros: not as crowded as the big mtns

  Cons: rental system could use more organization, slow ski lifts

  Only did greens. Probably the best place to self-learn. Has wide greens and less crowds than the other big mtns. Did not see any unruly boarders, and the wide "lanes" probably account... Full review

  Best Place in the East to Learn

  Pros: Easy runs, great ski school packages

  Cons: Easy runs, a little icy

  While it is a great family mountain, I really wish that the state would stop running the mountain. I hope that the group that is trying to make it into a resort... Full review

  Best of the Catskills

  Pros: great Terrain, Crowds are Polite,great Pkg deals avail!

  Cons: Food service, no night life

  We had a great weekend 2/20-2/21. There was a fresh dunp of 3" powder when we arrived, little or no ice and yet no crowds. Lots of nice trails to choose from,... Full review

  Olde tyme casual skiing.

  Pros: Very casual, relaxed, no pressure, feels like a hike in a state park.

  Cons: Not really any night life to speak of.

  Belleayre is a state park. It's a fun place to hang out without pressure to be seen. It's not a "resort" so don't expect to find people parading around looking for action... Full review
