great Terrain, Crowds are Polite, great Pkg deals avail!
Food service, no night life
We had a great weekend 2/20-2/21. There was a fresh dunp of 3" powder when we arrived, little or no ice and yet no crowds. Lots of nice trails to choose from, the lower area is almost exclusively nice Greens. the middle area mostly blue and of the Diamonds and Blues. Saw quite a few Glade-type areas too. The runs have lotsa nice turns and drops. Good place to build the skillls to make the transition from Green to Blue, Blue to Black. The crowd is more laid back, even the boarders are polite and more respectfull. There are great package deals available from NYC, Bus/Lift, Kids Stay Free/Parents Ski Free deals. Now.........the meal service is a bad, overpriced cafeteria type choices with little variety. Most people seem to bring their own food in coolers with which they wiil stake out a entire table from 9am on. Imagine, you just paid $8 for a crap of a Hamburger w/ Fries and now you can't get a table to sit down. Better to eat a big breakfast, bring a snack, ski thru Lunch and leave @3pm which is when the ice would start coming thru. Food service aside, Belleayre beats Wyndham and Hunter.
